About me

I'm Ali, a Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I adopt a holistic and empathetic approach to my practice. My journey as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist has been shaped by my belief in the power of human resilience and the potential for positive change. I believe that we all try to do the best we can, and my therapeutic style is rooted in creating a non-judgmental and collaborative environment where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns at your own pace.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, tailoring our sessions to your unique needs. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal development, my goal is to assist you in uncovering insights, developing coping strategies, and fostering a deeper connection with yourself. Together, through meaningful conversations, we will work towards enhancing your emotional well-being and empowering you to lead a more fulfilling life.

MA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

I qualified as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from Roehampton University. As an integrative counsellor, I am able to incorporate aspects of person-centred, cognitive and psychodynamic counselling into my sessions. I also recognise the central importance of the therapeutic relationship, and actively and sincerely engage in understanding and helping my clients with genuine care and concern.

BA (Hons) in Anthropology & Cultural Studies

Prior to my training as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Anthropology & Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex. This training provided me with a strong respect and understanding for everyone’s individual perspective, and a belief that we are all trying to do our best in our own situations.

Member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)

As a dedicated professional, I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to its stringent ethical codes and upholding professional standards of confidentiality and practice.
